Miyata Stiffener Plate
This stiffener plate replaces the OEM Miyata plate that sits between the plastic seat base and the foam padding. At 0.135" thick, it's considerably thicker and therefore stiffer than the OEM Miyata. The stiffness of a OEM plastic base with this plate is comparable to that of a carbon fiber base, at a fraction of the cost.
The plate comes with square holes pre-cut to accommodate the OEM Miyata, Reeder, and GB Road handles. Both OEM Miyata bolts as well as 1/4" carriage bolts will fit in these holes without spinning.
