"Reeder Handle" Reviews

It's been on since August 2001 and is fantastic. No finger pain at all since then, and I've managed new extremes (for me anyway) of both down and up. Hopping has also greatly improved during that time. Plus it's a nice place for my hand or hands to just rest on easy parts.

Overall it is a HUGE improvement over the Miyata handle. The Miyata handle was never intended to be pulled with the amount of force I sometimes use. With a Wilder bracket and brake handle attached, the Reeder handle works perfectly well. I even crashed sort of badly today, leaving the unicycle to fall into a sharp pile of rocks - no damage. The Reeder handle protects the brake handle and extension well. It is just bombproof and feels great when used with a Harbinger wrist guard.

I rarely used my Miyata unicycle handle before I started using the GB4 'Reeder' Handle. Now I will never go back, because it has undoubtedly changed my unicycling experience for the better. One thing is for sure, no matter how many times it hits the ground and rocks it just doesn't seem to want to break. It’s a great product for any unicyclist, and worth the small investment.

My first unicycle came equipped with a Miyata seat. The stock Miyata handle was better no handle at all, but soon began hurt my fingers from repeated hopping. My fingers would hurt all the time, not just while riding. Finally, I bought one of the 'Reeder' handles and never looked back. I have never experienced finger pain from the 'Reeder' handle and it has never let me down. The angle and position of the handle are perfect and it is completely bomb proof.

I use a Reeder handle on my summit with a viscount seat. I prefer it over a Miyata or KH handle. Mostly because it gives me a lot more room for my fingers and I can get a much better grip. And since I only use seat-in rolling hops for my style, it seemed to be the best choice. --Kevin McMullin
